Mr. Holmes became a top 1% real estate in New Jersey within eight years.

WEST CALDWELL, NJ, August 12, 2021 – Douglass J. Holmes has been inducted into Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in rhetoric from Temple University, Mr. Holmes studied journalism at the Connecticut School of Broadcasting. He began his career working on the production team of Good Morning America with ABC News New York. After several years, however, Mr. Holmes’ brother-in-law encouraged him to enter the field of real estate in order to find more stability in his career.

Although he did not intend to pursue a career in real estate, Mr. Holmes’ interest in the field began to grow over time. Drawn to the opportunities for increased independence and financial steadiness, he presently works as a branch manager and broker with Striker Realty. Believing wholeheartedly in the importance of real estate brokering, Mr. Holmes relies heavily on referrals, as opposed to traditional advertising.

For his efforts over the years, Mr. Holmes was presented with the Distinguished Sales Award from the New Jersey Board of Realtors. He was also featured in Jersey Monthly Magazine as one of the Top Realtors in the state for seven years, on the cover of Top Agent Magazine, and in Morris Essex Health & Life Magazine. Throughout the course of his career, Mr. Holmes has been grateful for the influence of his father, who inspired him to become successful by teaching him how to reach his full potential.

In order to remain aware of developments in his field, he maintains professional affiliation with the North Jersey Association of Realtors. Looking toward the future, Mr. Holmes plans to continue educating future real estate agents by equipping them with the proper skills they need to thrive in the industry.
